Lent 1: Let Love be Genuine: Interview with Bishop Read

Let Love be Genuine is a five-episode bilingual Lenten podcast series developed by the Episcopal Diocese of West Texas departments of Christian Formation and Latino + Immigration Ministries. In this episode Suzanna Green, Director of Christian Formation interviews the Right Reverend David Read, Diocesan Bishop of the Diocese of West Texas. They discuss the theme of “Let Love be Genuine” and some of the reasons that Bishop Read chose this particular verse from Romans as the diocesan theme for 2026. Each episode in this podcast series will include a verse from Romans 12:9-13 and an interview between Suzanna Green or Flor Saldivar and one of our fellow diocesan staff members.
